A Bunny On My Back is the second segment of the 7th episode of Season 1 of Brandy & Mr. Whiskers. It aired on September 11, 2004.

Synopsis

An Ocelot named Arturo catches Brandy's fancy, in which they fall in love and plan to go out on a date. Mr. Whiskers feels that Arturo is actually up to something bad and he tries to tell Brandy. Unfortunately, Mr. Whiskers gets covered in tree sap and stuck on Brandy just before the date.

Plot

The day starts as any normal day would as Ed, Lola, Mr. Whiskers, Cheryl, and Meryl wait to dive from a cliff, where they are being scored by lemurs below. First, Ed and Lola dive. The lemurs cheer and each give them a 10/10. Mr. Whiskers, about to dive, asks Brandy to watch him. Before he can dive, he gets grabbed by Arturo. Arturo moves him away and deflates his inner-tube. Arturo gets ready to dive, with Brandy, Cheryl, and Meryl seeing and are amazed by him. Arturo jumps and Brandy gazes as he falls gracefully into the water. One lemur gives him a 27; another 27.1; another 30, and another 35. Mr. Whiskers, still on the cliff, is in shock as Arturo didn't even have to hold his nose. He accidentally falls in, getting a score of three 0's and a -5. Arturo walks by, which gets Brandy and Lola to start talking about how hot he is. Mr. Whiskers swims out of the water and asks what Arturo has that he doesn't. The girls say that Arturo has looks, personality, charisma, class, intelligence, courage, and a control of bodily functions. Mr. Whiskers says they're all fair points and asks if he can do something. He lays on the ground and Brandy sarcastically remarks that it's impressive before he's finished. He calls Ed over to help him show off his talent. Ed sits on Mr. Whiskers' feet as he circles around. He calls it his lower-body strength, with Brandy saying she's more concerned about lower-body smells. Arturo walks over to her and kisses her hand. Brandy is in love, with Mr. Whiskers looking in shock, throwing Ed off his feet in the process. Concerned, Mr. Whiskers goes to Brandy, saying he feels that there is something dangerous about him. He calls it his sixth sense, with a set of 6 cents appearing on screen, with Mr. Whiskers saying he means 'sense' and not 'cents'. Brandy tells him to get over it because Arturo is hot and he's not. Arturo asks Brandy to join him for a stroll that night, with Mr. Whiskers making an excuse that she's busy, with her kicking him into the water, saying she'd love to join him.

Later on, Mr. Whiskers mocks Arturo as Brandy getting ready for her date. Brandy, annoyed, asks what his problem is. Mr. Whiskers once again says it's his sixth sense, with the same 6 cents appearing on screen and him yelling about the confusion. Brandy tells him to sense that an eel inside his swim trunks is about to strangle him; he grabs it and gets electrocuted. Still getting ready for her date, Brandy says that he has no sense. Mr. Whiskers falls out of the treehouse, with him hearing her rude comments, yelling that he did.

Mr. Whiskers, angry, then takes a walk and runs into Lola, Margo, and Cheryl, and Meryl playing cards. He walks up to the girls and asks them if they get a creepy vibe from Arturo. The girls reply that they get dreamy, handsome, and a 'break-me-off-a piece-of-that' vibe. He gets it, but asks if they sense something evil about him. Meryl says he might be mad because he's taking Brandy away from him. Margo tells him to relax and that the most important thing about him is that he's buff. The Toucans high-five, agreeing with Margo. Lola enters and the girls all laugh. Mr. Whiskers angrily walks away, sighing about females as a whole.

Mr. Whiskers is next seen with Ed skipping stones into a large pit of tree sap. He starts to vent to Ed about Arturo, saying that he's the only one who sees how evil Arturo really is, with the dim-witted rabbit not knowing what to do. Ed replies "darn sap", with Mr. Whiskers thinking he means Ed is calling him one, with him saying that if caring about a friend's well-being makes him a sap, then he's fine with it. Ed corrects Mr. Whiskers saying he means the sticky sap they're skipping stones into. His foot gets stuck in it, with him moving it around in the tree juice. The two of them hear a voice asking about joining Arturo in the hunt tonight. Ed realizes the predators are coming his way and he runs, telling Mr. Whiskers to as well. Him, nervous about what to do, overhears Arturo talking about him bringing home a furry friend for dinner. Not being able to run out, Mr. Whiskers jumps in and hides in the sap. Now covered in sap, he decides to go tell Brandy about his discovery.

In the meantime, Brandy is picking flowers for her hair. While doing so, she runs into a creature trying to blend in, with him rudely flying away. Seconds later, she hears Mr. Whiskers as he runs with tree sap on his back, trying to tell Brandy about Arturo, with her yet again ignoring him. She shouts that she doesn't want to hear it, with Mr. Whiskers saying Arturo is going to take her home to his family. Brandy, not knowing Arturo means that he wants to eat her, says it may be a little early for that, but goes with it as she goes to pick more flowers. In the process of trying to tell her that's not what he means, Mr. Whiskers inadvertently trips over a tree root, flies up in the air then falls down and bumps his back into Brandy's, which causes them both to become stuck together back to back. She asks what he's doing and tells him to stop fooling around. Mr. Whiskers tries to get off Brandy, but due to the tree sap's adherence to both his back and Brandy's, he can't get unstuck. Mr. Whiskers shushes the audience and whispers to tell nobody about him and Brandy being stuck together. After she circles around to try and get him off, she asks what he's doing with him replying he's stuck. She panics as she's supposed to meet Arturo in an hour. Mr. Whiskers finally tells her he plans to eat her, with him realizing he'll eat both of them now that they're stuck to each other. She doesn't listen to him and tells him goodbye. Mr. Whiskers laughs at this comment, with Brandy remembering that they're stuck together and replying that she hates him.

They go back to the treehouse and try to figure out how to get unstuck. First, they have Mr. Whiskers' ears tied to the bed frame and try to stretch so far, with their idea just causing them to be pulled back and crash into the bed. Second, they try to get unstuck in a tug-of-war style. With the help of Ed, Lola, Margo, Cheryl, and Meryl, they put their plan into action. Lola, Margo, Cheryl and Meryl pull Brandy to the left and Ed pulls Mr. Whiskers to the right. Lola unintentionally unwinds from the tree she's tied to, causing everyone to bump into each other. Lastly, they go to Gaspar for help. With him saying it's a big job and that he can do it. Brandy, in a hurry, tells him to just do it. Gaspar mentions one small problem, that being when his monkey army rips them apart, sometimes they actually rip them apart. One of his monkeys cracks his knuckles, with the duo running away. Brandy runs left and Mr. Whiskers runs right, with the two ending up bumping into each other. They do the same thing, this time running in the opposite direction, ending up with the same results. Brandy tells him to go to the left, with Mr. Whiskers asking who's left. Upset, she knocks him out with a branch and runs home.

Back at the treehouse, Mr. Whiskers tries to calm down Brandy by saying she looks pretty. In response, Brandy says him getting stuck to her is his way of not letting her live her own life. With him thinking it's just a dumb bunny who got stuck in some sap. Worried, he says he's only trying to protect her. Angrily, Brandy says she's heard enough of it and is going to go out with him no matter what. On their way out, Mr. Whiskers hits the top of the doorframe. He tells her to watch where she's going, with her purposely slamming the door on his ears.

The two go to where they need to meet Arturo with Mr. Whiskers eating a bunch of fresh berries. He tells her not to worry and that he will just be the eyes on the back of her head, with her saying it's his mouth she's worried about. Startled, Brandy sees Arturo, with him commenting that she looks 'fantastico'. She thanks him, and says she also smells 'fantastico'. Mr. Whiskers says that he doesn't, with Arturo thinking Brandy said that. Trying to cover up that mistake, Brandy says he smells good, too. He brags that he does, smells himself, and holds Brandy's hand for the start of the stroll, where he is going to take her to a romantic spot, with Mr. Whiskers looking nervously.

Later that night, Brandy sweetly puts her hands on Arturo's arm, with Mr. Whiskers poking his head out to see Arturo, with him saying he feels they're being watched. Nervously, Brandy tells him he's being silly and changes the subject, immediately, telling him it's a lovely night and that it's so quiet. Mr. Whiskers hiccups right after her comment, with Brandy trying to cover it up by saying she has the hiccups. Arturo tells her to hold her breath. She does it and says it's gone now. Mr. Whiskers then burps, with Brandy telling him to pardon the slip-up. He understands, with Brandy saying he's sweet. Arturo says she is too, with Mr. Whiskers asking if she is with soy sauce. Overhearing this, Brandy ties his ears (disguised as her scarf) over his mouth. Then, Mr. Whiskers farts. Brandy and Arturo look surprised as she apologizes for it. Arturo tells her not to be embarrassed as he goes to give her a drink that will help her with it. After he leaves, Brandy says he's a big stupid selfish baby that's ruining everything. Mr. Whiskers says that she won't be saying that when he comes back with a fork and knife, with Brandy trying to get him off by slamming him on the ground. After messing up a part of the jungle, they hear Arturo, with Brandy quickly rearranging Mr. Whiskers' ears back to how they were before. He comes back with a coconut drink and Brandy tells him he's very thoughtful for doing so. Mr. Whiskers notices something in the bushes, with Brandy not noticing just commenting about the drink. Mr. Whiskers scared and unable to warn Brandy through communication, jumps away right as one of Arturo's family members was about to eat them, kicking Arturo in the process. Brandy notices and nervously asks Arturo what's going on. Arturo reveals to her that he was planning to eat her the whole time, but guesses that everyone couldn't wait any longer. The duo get backed into a corner as Brandy asks Mr. Whiskers if he has any thoughts, with him asking besides I told you so and Brandy saying it's not helping. Mr. Whiskers gets smushed in the corner, but eventually bounces off with his lower-body strength. They jump to a tree and swing off, kicking one of Arturo's family members in the face. Another one tries to stop him and the two both jump (in slow motion), which ends with him getting kicked as well. The remaining two jump, with Mr. Whiskers just kicking them away. Now, with the enemies dizzy, Mr. Whiskers tells them to go away. Impressed, Brandy asks how he was able to do that, with him saying he has no idea.

Later that night, Brandy is in bed, apologizing to Mr. Whiskers for not listening to him, and that it's what being a good friend is all about. He forgives her and asks her what else being a good friend is about. She says it's about taking him to the bathroom again, as she gets up and takes him to it.
